Official asks Putin to help with financing of Kamaz

NABEREZHNYE CHELNY, Tatarstan Republic, Dec 16 (PRIME) -- CEO of Russian state industrial corporation Rostec Sergei Chemezov asked President Vladimir Putin to help him find additional financing for truck producer Kamaz on December 13.

“But this is not enough, we need to build the second stage of the engine plant, upgrade the foundry, the bridge plant. And yet, we have distributed all funds and financial means that we had. So we will probably ask you to help,” he said.

Kamaz CEO Sergei Kogogin said that investment will peak in 2021–2023, when the company will need about 12–13 billion rubles of investment per year.

Chemezov said that about 54 billion rubles had been invested in Kamaz.
